Thanks for stopping by our website, AutismDetails.com. Our son was diagnosed with PDD-NOS when he was about 3 years old. It was a hard fought battle just to get him the diagnosis. Im sure many people would dread their child being diagnosed with a form of autism but we were actually relieved to finally have a diagnosis that we could further research and treat.

From when he was a baby we knew something wasnt quite right. He had a stage where he would scream and cry at night. We later determined it was night terrors. He was a very finicky eater. His milestones never really happened, he never really crawled and just learned to walk, albeit slower than a typical child. When he did start talking his speech skills were lacking.

At around 2-3 years old he would run around with a never ending burst of energy. Light switches would be turned on and off constantly. He would watch toy story and act it out scene by scene. Movie cases and matchbox cars would be lined up in a perfect row across the living room floor.

There was many symptoms of autism, we just had to research and piece it all together.
